To the Editor:
May, the merry month of, and I’m reeling from the news of the week, wondering when this onslaught of bad news is going to abate but I’m afraid it is not because our President is incapable of controlling himself. I hoped that the office, the gravity of being President, the leader of the free world, might bring some deepening consciousness to our President who in his first month in office seemed fixated on the size of his Inaugural crowd, his winning lead in the Electoral College, pumping himself up with campaign-style rallies. He appeared to have settled down into thinking about governing with his Congressional push on healthcare, which after the disastrous travel ban roll-out, offered an outlet for his frustrations, if not actual leadership on issues of importance to the American people.
But I was mistaken.
